Is your tour group planning a stay in the New Orleans area? No
stay in New Orleans would be complete without seeing the most interesting
attractions that the city has to offer. Most studies indicate that
1 out of 3 tourist visiting New Orleans will experience a swamp
tour. There are no less than 12 swamp tours within a 1 hour drive
from the French Quarter of New Orleans. To someone that has never
been in the swamps, one tour company is as good as the next. But
there is a difference!
Louisiana Swamp Tours has two (Coast Guard Certified), 60 passenger
boats with a total capacity of 120 passengers. Our boats are designed
with your groups comforts in mind. Both boats have padded seats,
restroom facilities, a roof, and large removable lexan windows.
The roof will keep you from being baked in the Summer sun and getting
wet during a rain shower. The windows, in good weather, are up
and out of the way. But on rainy or cold days, the windows can
be lowered for our passengers comfort. The tour dock has picnic
tables, a snack shop, 2 modern restrooms, and plenty of free parking.
Our parking lot can handle up to 4 buses and 20 cars. We also have
a gator at the site, so your tour group will see a gator while
waiting to board the tour boat.
Our airboats have a total capacity of 64 passengers, with padded,
stadium style seats. Speed and comfort are together.
Our swamp tour normally operates 3 tours a day, 9:30 am, 12 noon,
and 2 pm. Plus seasonal tours of tour boats and airboats are available.
The swamp tour will last up to 2 hours. We can customize the trip
to accommodate your needs and the start times of the tour can be
modified per arrangements with our management. In summertime, we
can provide a special tour that will begin 2 hours before sunset,
returning at sunset. We even offer a night Bayou and Swamp tour.
We offer private tours for as little as 1 person and as many as
120. Our group prices are available upon request.
Our tour captains are natives of the area and will give you an
in-depth narration on the tour. The tour will take you past more
historical sites than any other tour company in Louisiana. The
captains will talk about the history, the Cajun way of life, and
the plants and animals along the way. Your group will get more
than a boat ride. They will be entertained, educated, and given
a visual encounter that most of our passengers say is the highlight
of their stay in New Orleans.
Get
Your Picture Taken With ELVIS! Every tour group gets an opportunity
to see and even hold our baby gator, named Elvis. So no matter
what the weather conditions are, we will guarantee your group to
see at least one alligator on our tour. We have a quality cajun
restaurant within 10 minutes of our boat dock. So, your group can
plan a swamp tour and a local meal to make your trip complete.
